About
My goal is to help students find academic, social, and emotional success. I follow a strengths-based approach, recognizing that every child has innate strengths. I closely collaborate with parents, schools, and mental health professionals to develop and implement successful interventions and supports. I have conducted hundreds of assessments for students in the greater Bay Area — many for students that were labeled by school teams as "high-profile" or "extremely challenging." Through being genuine, compassionate, and creative, I am able to develop rapport and capture a true picture of a student's abilities in order to problem-solve and recommend meaningful interventions that promote success. I approach each assessment with the awareness that every child and family has a unique story and cultural background that should be heard and appreciated in order to help the child develop and thrive.

Education/Experience:
I proudly have over 20 years of experience in the education and mental health fields. After earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, PA, I supported adolescents in group home settings by counseling, mentoring, and teaching independent living skills. From there, I moved to the beautiful state of California where I changed paths and worked for a neuroscience company that developed educational software tools to help children develop and grow key reading skills. With a new interest in neuroscience and a goal to work with others on a deeper level, I earned a Master's degree in Counseling with a specialization in School Psychology from California State University, East Bay. I have been working as a School Psychologist and Licensed Educational Psychologist in Bay Area schools since.
